Commuters with monthly passes could make up for their lost days in Chennai metro trains

here are many commuters having monthly passes and trip cards and they are unable to use these to travel in the metro trains in Chennai. This is due to the shutdown to prevent the spreading of Covid-19. This news would bring some happiness now.

Important information is these commuters with monthly passes and trip cards could make up for the days they were not able to use the metro train services (due to lock down) when the operation resume again. 

There are customer care personnel at all the metro stations in Chennai and the commuters having monthly passes and trip cards could approach these personnel to get their passes renewed after which the commuters would be able to use their passes for the leftover days in the card.

It must not be forgotten that initially Chennai metro was closed from 23rd March to 31st March 2020. The closure was extended till 14th April 2020 after 21 day national lock down was announced from 25th March 2020 to prevent spreading of Covid-19. As many as 2500 monthly passes were introduced by CMRL for the commuters for unlimited rides. By using trip cards, commuters would be able to travel a set number of trips inside specific number of days between 2 stations.
