The Chennai Metro Rail Officials have informed that based on the demand from the passengers, the e-bike facility set up in the Metro Rail Stations will be expanded.
When explaining in this regard, the Chennai Metro Rail Officials shared: “Chennai Metro Rail, in a joint effort with some private sector concerns have set up the e-bike renting facility in some of the Chennai Metro Rail Stations including Alandur, Vadapalani, and Thirumangalam.
In order to avail the facility, the Metro Rail passengers need to download the App ‘Howdy Hire Bikes’. Then, they can select the stations for taking/dropping off the e-bike stations. Subsequently, scan the QR code displayed on the cell. The vehicle facility will be made available immediately. As this facility has been set up at every 500 metres distance, there has been an excellent demand from the Chennai Metro Rail Passengers!
The rental charges will only be Rs. 3 per km and 10 Paise per minute.
Depending on the basis of the extent of demand from the Chennai Metro Rail passengers, reviews are already being conducted expanding the existing e-bike facility in several Chennai Metro Rail Stations!”
