TI Cycles Organised Cycle Rally as part of World Environment Day

In its continued endeavour to encourage environment conservation and to help improve the wellness and quality of life, TI Cycles of India, part of the Murugappa Group’s Tube Investment of India, organised a cycle rally today on the occasion of World Environment Day. Through this event, TI Cycles extends its support to Isha Foundation’s Save the Soil campaign.
The 50Km rally was flagged off by Mr. Arun Murugappan, Executive Chairman – TII, from Rajakilpakkam. Over 150 cycle enthusiasts from the city participated in this rally, cycling through Rajakilpakkam, Old Mahabalipuram Road and East Coast Road.
At the event, Mr. Arun Murugappan, Executive Chairman, Tube Investment of India stated, “Cycling is indeed one of the most eco-friendly and a healthy mode of transport. Add the fun element to cycling and you have what it takes to protect the environment in more than one way! Switching to cycling is one of the most effective and motivating steps we can take to reduce carbon footprint. Today’s cycle rally, as part of the Save the Soil campaign, is our commitment to a greener and healthier lifestyle.”
