What is the issue for the metro train commuters in Chennai now?

The ticketing system and scanning of metro train tickets at several metro stations in Chennai has been an issue for many commuters now. The regular commuters of metro trains complain that the tickets bought at the counters do not work at the entry point of the metro station.
It must be noted that the ticket bought at the counters fails to get scanned properly and this was according to a regular metro train user. He then spoke about how he was forced to wait for a long time to get the help of the staff at the metro station. At the Saidapet metro station, this commuter faced an issue and it was mentioned by the staff there that it was just a common issue. The regular commuters now want CMRL to provide a suitable solution for the issue.
It was later pointed out by another working professional that she and her friend were travelling from the Tondiarpet metro station and she was asked to buy a travel card at the ticket counter. She spoke about how the ticketing staff at the counter mentioned that CMRL has made it compulsory for the commuters to travel using travel cards only.
Non functioning of CMRL app:
It was later brought to light by a passenger that the CMRL app was not functioning well. The passenger spoke about how he scanned at the metro station to make payments and how the app did not generate a ticket though the amount was deducted.The travel card he had with him helped him.
