Waiting for the buses to go to places like Krishnagiri, Bengaluru etc would not be tedious and boring for the passengers at the Kuthambakkam bus terminus at Thirumazhisai. This new bus terminus would be operational by the middle of 2023 and it would be fully air-conditioned. It would have a food court also and the passengers would be able to satisfy their taste buds with a variety of foods and beverages etc. This upcoming bus terminus at Kuthambakkam would be connected with the metro train network for the sake of the public.
Over 25 acres of land, this upcoming bus terminus would be present and would have 70 bays for mofussil govt buses and 30 bays for the private buses. These buses would be going to western places like Krishnagiri, Bengaluru etc. in addition, there would also be 36 bays for MTC buses here.
It must be noted that the multi-level parking facility here would be able to accommodate more than 1600 two wheelers, 200 four wheelers. There would also be superb facilities such as escalators, drinking water facilities, sewage plants and CCTV cameras etc. It is expected that many IT employees would benefit from this upcoming bus terminus at Thirumazhisai and that is due to the fact that many buses would be going towards Bengaluru from this new bus terminus..
As per an officer from CMDA, a food court would be opened here as many people come directly from their workspots to the new bus terminus. The residents belonging to surrounding localities could also benefit with the upcoming food court here. If needed, the passengers could use the Wi-Fi facility here and work from their laptops etc.To study about the feasibility of introducing metro train connectivity to Poonamallee, a team from CUMTA made their presence felt at the bus terminus last week.
