Pongal Holidays Reflection: 8.36 Lakhs Citizens travel in Chennai Metro Rail!

On the occasion of the Pongal Special festive holidays, 8.36 lakh passengers travelled in the Chennai Metro Rail during the 5 days from 13th January to 17th January!
Certain changes were made in the operation of the Chennai Metro Rail; Services for the occasion of the special Pongal Festival. As per this, on the 13th & 14th of January, a Metro Rain every 5 minutes was operated from 5.00 PM until 10.00 PM.
Further, it was announced that the last train would start by Midnight from all terminals!
With this facility, there has been a steep increase in the number of citizens travelling on the Chennai Metro Rail!
As per this:
- 2.66 Lakhs passengers travelled in Chennai Metro Rail on 13th January!
- 1.62 Lakh passengers travelled on 14th January.
- 1.08 Lakhs Passengers travelled on 15th January.
- 1,34 Lakhs passengers travelled on 16th January.
- 1.65 Lakhs passengers travelled on 17th January.
As such, a total of 8.36 Lakhs passengers have undertaken travel in Chennai Metro Rail.
