Island Grounds in Chennai are now attracting lots of visitors!!

It is known to us that at the famous Island Grounds in Chennai there is a metro train hall set up at the All India fair and this is attracting the attention of many visitors. Till now, 29400 people have visited this place in Chennai. It is noteworthy that on the behalf of TTDC, 47th All India Exhibition is being held in Chennai.
In this ongoing exhibition, a hall from CMRL is present and the entrance of this hall has been designed like the Nandanam based headquarters building. The entrance is designed to look like boarding the metro train. The exit of the hall has been designed like an underground tunnel boring machine type.
There are many photos of metro trains, model design of tunneling machines, maps of Chennai metro rail project phase one and phase two etc present in the hall. People visiting the hall would be able to get information about CMRL through a TV present here. There is also a model of Thirumayilai metro station present in the exhibition hall. Overall, these have attracted many visitors and till now 29400 people have come here.
Mr. T. Arjunan, project director, CMRL explained that every day an average of 500 visit the venue and on the weekends an average of 1200 visit here.He added that till now as many as 29400 people have visited the venue. Now, travel cards for the passengers are being sold and a 20% discount is being given for those who travel using the travel cards in the metro trains. He concluded that till now 623 travel cards have been sold.
