The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) announced on Friday morning that intercorridor trains between Central Metro station and Airport Metro station have been suspended until further notice due to technical difficulties.
The CMRL technical team is currently on the site, working to resolve the problem. In the meantime, passengers are advised to disembark and change trains at Alandur metro station in order to reach the airport.
In a press note, the CMRL has assured the public that they are doing everything possible to restore normal train services as soon as possible. Furthermore, they have stated that train movement on the blue line from Wimco Nagar metro station to Airport station will also be normalized.
The inconvenience caused to passengers is regretted, and the CMRL is working towards resolving the issue at the earliest. They request passengers to cooperate with the authorities and follow safety protocols while commuting.
