In a move towards promoting cashless transactions, Chennai Metro Rail has announced that starting April 19, only travel cards will be accepted for parking at stations. This decision is aimed at improving the efficiency, convenience, and security of the payment system while reducing cash flow.

The travel card is easily available to customers at the Station EFO/TOM counters of all Metro rail stations and online from the CMRL website. The process of acquiring a travel card is simple and can be completed quickly.

According to CMRL officials, the advantages of the new system include faster entry and exit from passenger parking areas, transaction transparency, and cashless transactions.

This initiative is expected to benefit both commuters and the metro rail system by making the parking process more convenient, secure, and efficient.

So, if you are a frequent commuter of Chennai Metro Rail, make sure to get your travel card before April 19 to enjoy hassle-free and cashless parking services.
