Chennai Metro Rail Adjusts Schedule for Increased Frequency During Southern Railway Maintenance

In light of maintenance activities with Southern Railway (SR), Chennai Metro Rail (CMRL) has announced a temporary adjustment to its train schedule for today. To accommodate increased passenger demand during SR maintenance, CMRL will be running trains every seven minutes on both the blue and green lines from 10 am to 8 pm. This is a deviation from the usual schedule of 12 pm to 8 pm.
Following the regular Sunday timetable, metro trains will operate at a frequency of every ten minutes from 8 pm to 10 pm and every 15 minutes from 10 pm to 11 pm this evening. CMRL has implemented these changes for today only, ensuring a smooth commuting experience for passengers during the maintenance work with SR.
