A significant milestone has been reached in Chennai`s ambitious Phase II Metro Rail Project with the awarding of a contract worth Rs 137.86 crore for electrical and mechanical works at 22 metro stations. These stations are set to line the Madhavaram-Sholinganallur route, spanning from Koyambedu Market to Elcott Park.
The broader Phase II Metro Rail Project in Chennai encompasses three vital lines, collectively valued at Rs 63.246 crore. Construction activities are currently in full swing, focusing on the development of high-level lines, tunnels, and metro stations across key routes such as Madhavaram-Siruseri SIPCOT, Lighthouse-Poonamallee Bypass, and Madhavaram-Sholinganallur.
Universal MEP Projects & Engineering Services clinched the noteworthy contract for electrical and mechanical works at the 22 high-level metro stations situated along the fifth line. This significant development underscores the commitment to modernizing Chennai`s transportation infrastructure, ensuring smoother commutes and improved connectivity for its residents.
