EVK Sampath Road Sewerage Work Spurs Traffic Diversion: Chennai Traffic Police Alert
In light of the ongoing sewer drainage construction by the Chennai Metro Water department at EVK Sampath Road, the Greater Chennai Traffic Police have announced road diversions from April 10th to April 13th, 2024.
EVK Sampath Salai will be temporarily closed from the junctions of Hunters Road (Narayanaguru Salai) to EVK Sampath Salai junction, and from Jeremiah Road junction to EVK Sampath Salai junction.
For two-wheelers and light motor vehicles approaching from Doveton junction on Hunters Road, the right turn will be restricted. Instead, they are advised to proceed via General Collines Road, Medex Road, and Vepery High Road to reach their destinations.
MTC buses and commercial vehicles traveling from Doveton junction on Hunters Road are also advised against taking the right turn. Instead, they are encouraged to take Choolai High Road, Raja Muthiah Salai, and Vepery High Road to reach their destinations.
Motorists are urged to cooperate with the traffic diversions to ensure smooth traffic flow and to facilitate the ongoing construction work.
