The first train for Chennai Metro Rail which has been manufactured from Sao Paulo, Brazil bangs the city’s port after seven months of duration. On Thursday, it set out for trial run on the lofty track from the Koyambedu depot. This trial run obscures only 2KM and it is controlled before Koyambedu Metro Station.
This working out will continue for about 15 days. The officials from the Chennai Metro Rail Limited says that, after 15 days the train will take up the testing drive for a long distance from Koyambedu to Ashok Nagar.
Even though the construction work in the railway stations remain curtailed, the official planned to take up the test drives, since the substation facilitate the power for the slide electrical lines. Depends on the extensive power supply from the substation, it has been anticipated to take up the extensive test drive during the middle of February, which covers from Koyambedu to Ashok Nagar.
Phase1 work of Chennai Metro Rail will have two Corridors. One covers from Chennai central to St. Thomas Mount and other connects from Washermanpet to Chennai Airport. Chief Minister Jayalalitha ensigns the tests run of first train of Chennai Metro Rail inside the depot at Koyambedu.
