New website for Income Tax Department

A new website has been started for the benefit of people who file their income tax returns at Chennai & Pondicherry. This was inaugurated by the Income Tax Chief Collector Mr. Ravi.
www.tnincometax.gov.in - is the new website.
Earlier, there was a single website for the entire country. Now, a separate website for Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry has been started for both the income tax payers and the department employees.
Online information regarding the officials to be met, the procedure for filing income tax returns, and news regarding transfers of officials will be available.
Grievances can also be registred online. It will be taken for consideration.
