These days we often come across the word ‘Inflammation’ isn’t it!! The biological response of the body tissues to harmful stimuli like pathogens etc is termed as inflammation. Foods that fight against this inflammation are called anti-inflammatory foods. It is said that by intake of certain foods like sugary foods, oily foods etc after we get injured badly the inflammation becomes internal and it might last for longer time periods. Finally chronic inflammation takes place and other important organs like heart, liver etc gets affected.

By intake of these foods we could fight against inflammation.

Berries intake:

Few examples of natural sources of anti-inflammatory effects are blueberries, strawberries etc. Inflammation in us could be lowered by the antioxidants called anthocyanins produced by these fruits. By this heart issues gets lowered and the growth of cancer cells gets decreased.

Fatty fish intake:

It is known that there are fatty fishes like salmon, mackerel etc that are rich source of proteins and omega 3 fatty acids. These fatty fishes must be consumed by us as the fatty acids prevent the inflammation in us.

Broccoli intake:

It is said that the intake of cruciferous vegetable broccoli could provide antioxidant called ‘Sulforaphane’ and this could help us to fight inflammation.

Avocados intake:

Inflammatory diseases could be prevented in us by the intake of avocados having vitamin E, lutein and zeaxanthin etc in them. In addition to this our immune system functions would be improved. Those having certain conditions like polyarthritis, celiac disease and asthma could get benefitted by intake of avocados.

Green tea intake:

Green tea is consumed by many of us as it provides many health benefits. The important point is the antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents in green tea known as epigallocatechin-3 gallate or ECGC hinders inflammation. This is done by reducing the cytokine levels.
