The smallest national park in India situated in
Guindy, Chennai, this is also the only such park to
exist right in the heart of Indian metro. Its wealth
of dry evergreen scrub, and thorn forests, acts as a
veritable lung to crowded Chennai. A wide variety of
animals, including the black duck, civet cat,
jackal, pangolin, mongoose, monkey, chital, plus
several species of spotted deer and reptiles,
besides numerous fauna, reside here. Children
will love the elephant and pony rides - which are
available only on Saturdays and Sundays.
