Be careful, these diseases might lead to hair loss in us

In this world we all want to look good before others and the presence of thick hairs in our heads is a major factor that makes us to look good. Our heads full of thick hairs increases the confidence levels in us.

Hair loss takes place in many people these days and it might be due to lack of nutrition or it might be due to some health problem. These days we often hear the term ‘Male Pattern Baldness’ in case of men and hair thinning and hair loss for women and it could be either temporary or permanent.

Few diseases that might be responsible for hair loss are

Diabetes causes hair loss - This health issue affects our hairs to great extent. Obstruction of circulatory system and restricting the blood supply to the scalp is caused by this diabetes issues in us. As a result of poor blood supply to our scalp hairs follicles dry out and loss of hair takes place. Medicines used to treat diabetes sometimes have negative impact on our hairs.

Anemia results in hair loss - This is also one of the important health issues that could lead to hair loss in us. This is an iron deficiency condition and it takes place more in women when compared to men. It is revealed that 20% women above the age of 20 are more prone to this anemia. It is a must to consume iron rich foods and iron supplements so that we could avoid this anemia problem in us and thereby hair loss.

Lupus causes hair loss - Sometime hair loss in us could also be due to this lupus. It is a disease of the immune system and must not be taken casually. Lupus affects lungs, joints plus it also affects skin, kidneys and hair. The hairs become brittle and could fall in patches in those having this lupus issue. It is worthy to mention here that the hair loss due to lupus is only temporary.

Thyroid issues results in hair loss - Presence of thyroid diseases is also one most important factor for hair loss in us. It is clear that both hypothyroidism as well as hyperthyroidism could lead to hair loss in us. It is known that each and every part of our body needs proper functioning of the thyroid gland. Likewise hair follicles also need proper functioning of the thyroid glands. Hair loss takes place when thyroid glands are underactive and also when the glands are over active.

Cancer causes hair loss - Cancer is one of the health issues affecting many these days. It is well known that cancer affected persons are treated by chemotherapy as well as radiation therapy and both these could result in the hair loss.
