Corona testing charges reduced in Tamil Nadu!

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered a reduction in the testing charges for the coronavirus pandemic!
Under the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Old Age Insurance Scheme, if the corona testing is to be undertaken, the charges are reduced from Rs. 800/- to Rs. 550/- in the private testing laboratories!
Under the Chief Minister’s Insurance Scheme, for Group testing, the charges of the private testing laboratories are reduced from Rs. 600/- to Rs. 400/-!
For the citizens who are NOT COVERED UNDER ANY INSURANCE SCHEME, the charges for testing in the private laboratories are reduced from Rs. 1200/- to Rs. 900/-!
For the facility to visit the patient’s residence and take the tests, an additional charge of Rs. 300/- will be made!
