Vaccination camp to be organised at Chennai Koyambedu!

On a single day yesterday (Thursday, 3rd June), 24405 citizens have been confirmed with coronavirus infection in Tamil Nadu.

As such, the total number of coronavirus-infected citizens have increased to 2172751!

Apart from this, with 460 deaths reported yesterday on a single day, the total number of deaths due to coronavirus infection has increased to 25665.

In the State of Tamil Nadu, 9619198 citizens have been administered with vaccination so far!

In this scenario, the Commissioner of Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) Sugandeep Singh Bedi undertook an inspection visit to the Chennai Metro City Koyambedu wholesale vegetable/fruits/flowers supermarket to monitor the progress on the implementation of various preventive guidelines being followed.

He discussed with the officials and traders about the coronavirus infection status and the strict adherence to the various guidelines.

Subsequently, the GCC Commissioner had a session with the press reporters. He shared:

“A vaccination camp is being organised at Chennai Koyambedu. The traders and the employees here can the vaccine administered until 12 Noon. We have planned to vaccinate all cadres of citizens here including traders, employees, and vehicle drivers! The Koyambedu wholesale vegetables/fruits/flowers market will FUNCTION ON ALL SUNDAYS! HOWEVER, SHOPS EXCESSIVE CROWDS AND FAILURE TO WEAR FACE MASKS WILL LEAD TO THE SEALING OF THE SHOPS!”
