From today, this announcement by railways dept to the Chennai passengers!!

The abnormal increase in the Coronavirus and Omicron variant have led to night curfew plus total lockdown on Sundays etc in TN and the public was finding it tough. The cases have gone down well and the CM of Tamil Nadu Mr. M.K. Stalin after the discussions with several officials belonging to the health and revenue department etc has announced that the night curfew and total lockdown on Sundays would not be there in Tamil Nadu.
It was earlier said that those passengers who use suburban trains in Chennai must compulsorily show documents regarding their 2 doses of Covid vaccination for getting season tickets.
As per the announcement from the railways department, from today onwards, the passengers travelling in the suburban trains in Chennai need not show the documents regarding administering both vaccinations.
It is worthy to mention here that since the TN government had withdrawn the restrictions that were imposed the railways department has also withdrawn restrictions on the passengers.
