If you are thinking that the summer season has come to an end now in Chennai and across TN because of the reduction in the temperatures then you might be totally surprised by this news!!

The RMC or Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai has predicted on Sunday 16th June that the temperatures might increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius till 20th June.

The reason for this would be due to a trough from Rayalaseema to central Bay of Bengal across west central Bay of Bengal prevailing over the sea. The cyclonic circulation over sea might lead to light to moderate rains in the next few days.

Point is that from 6th to 12th of June, the maximum as well as the minimum temperature were below the normal in many places in TN. This was confirmed by RMC. On 11th of June, the highest maximum temp was recorded at Madurai and it was 39 degrees Celsius.

In the coastal and interior districts in TN, for the next 3 days, the maximum temp would be between 32 to 36 degrees Celsius. Information is that the temp in the plains would range from 28 to 32 degrees Celsius. In Chennai, sky would be normally cloudy and some localities would receive light to moderate amounts of rain for the next 2 days in the evening and in the night time.
