Petrol prices down by Re. 1

Petrol prices have dropped by Re. 1 effective midnight on Tuesday morning. This is the third price cut in a month. The reduction was incorporated in lieu with reduced oil prices internationally.
However, diesel prices were not reduced. Previously, the government had said that there would be a 40 – 50 paise hike per litre from Tuesday, but no announcement has been made till now.
The price of petrol per litre is Rs. 69.08 excluding VAT and other taxes.
