Maintenance work: Kalpakkam Nuclear Power Station will not function until 13th Jan

Power Generation at the Kalpakkam Nuclear Power Plant near Chennai Metro City will be stopped due to the scheduled maintenance work until 13th January.
Kalpakkam Nuclear Power Plant is located in India, Tamil Nadu, around 60 km from the Chennai Metro City.
Like all other nuclear power plants, this Chennai Kalpakkam Nuclear Power Plant functions under the control of the Nuclear Technology Department.
The construction of the Kalpakkam Nuclear Power Plant commenced in This Kalpakkam Nuclear Power Plant is the 1st Nuclear power plant5 entirely on Indian Technology.
Due to some technical problems in the reactor, the first power plant unit was closed from 2018. In this situation, as maintenance work is scheduled for the 2nd nuclear power plant unit, there will be no power generation until 13th January.
Subsequently, it is expected that there will be an issue of power shortage.
