Prospects of scorching summer next 4 days

It has been informed that there will be a scorching summer heat during the next 4 day and a very dry climate will persist.

With the summer intensifying, the heat has been quite severe in the districts located in the Western Ghat mountainous range and the non-coastal interior districts in Tamil Nadu. The summer has been quite scorching with the temperature crossing 100 Degrees Fahrenheit in several places!

As sea breeze set in by the afternoon sessions, the intensity of heat is a bit lesser in the coastal districts.

Meanwhile, due to the phenomenon of thermal convection caused by the scorching heat, there are sudden rains as well in the districts experiencing this severe heat!

As at 5.30 PM yesterday evening (Sunday, 10th March), a maximum temperature of 39 Degrees Celsius has been recorded at Karur Paramathi and Madurai. A temperature of 33 Degrees Celsius was recorded at Chennai Nungambakkam and 35 Degrees Celsius at Chennai Meenambakkam airport.

The meteorological centre has warned that there would be scorching summer heat for the next 4 days in Tamil Nadu in all the districts including coastal ones. A dry climate will persist.
