Just recently, Cyclone Fengal damaged many parts belonging to Tamil Nadu. Many people suffered because of this cyclone. In this scenario, the school education department has issued guidelines for the school students to ensure safety of the students in the cyclone affected places in TN.
The districts such as Cuddalore, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Kallakurichi etc were worst affected by the cyclone Fengal is known.
Point is that all the district level higher officials must visit the schools that have been affected the cyclone and submit their report. This was ordered by the school education department.
Various important guidelines issued by the school education department to ensure the safety of the school students are removing the stagnated water from the school campuses, repairing school buildings and walls, inspecting boarding schools, Kastubha Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya or KGBV schools and Adi Dravidar Welfare and Tribal schools etc.
According to the notification it was clear that the schools present (in districts like Tiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi and Cuddalore) near the Thennpennai River affected by the floods must be examined. It must be noted that action must be taken for this.
It is worthy to note that if the students present in these places lost their important certificates like mark list, transfer certificate, caste certificates, textbooks, notebooks etc then the TN school education department has urged the respective education department officials to provide the above mentioned certificates to the students.
