EC: Remove all Vijay posters

Coimbatore had several posters showing actor Vijay endorsing a private jewelry shop. This was targeted by the Election Commission and it ordered for the removal of all such posters. Last week, the actor met Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi who was stationed there for election campaign. Despite the actor’s clarification that the meet was apolitical, the EC finds it to be an endorsement to the party and hence has ordered for removal of posters. This has left all Vijay fans in Coimbatore disappointed.
