When the corporation begins another stage of work to strengthen the Kodambakkam flyover, the city police will enforce traffic diversions in Kodambakkam for two months, starting from May 10,Only light vehicular traffic will be allowed on one side of the flyover while the other side is closed for renovation. There will be no changes in routes of MTC buses and heavy vehicles carrying essential items like water and milk.
Motorists in light vehicles heading from Valluvarkottam to Vadapalani will be diverted toward Thirumalai Pillai Road, which will have traffic heading in both directions, and on towards Bazullah Road and Bazullah Road Flyover.
They will have to go via Chakrapani Street and turn right to Vishwanathapuram Main Road before taking a left at Library Junction to head to their destination.
Rangarajapuram Flyover will have two-way traffic, from Station ViewRoad andfrom Bazullah Road to North Usman Road Junction.
Motorists heading from Mahalingapuram Flyover to T Nagar will be diverted left toward Habibullah Road, and then right toward Arulambal Street, from where they will have to head toward Raghavaiah Road.
Those heading from Mahalingapuram Flyover to Vadapalani will be diverted left towards Habibullah Road and right towards Arulambal Road, before taking a right to Bazullah Road and Bazullah Road Flyover, another right to Chakrapani Street and Five Light Junction and on tot heir destination.
Motorists heading from Madley Road to Valluvarkottam or Mahalingapuram will be permitted to go straight from Bazullah Road either towards Mahalingapuram flyover or North Usman Road.
Motorists heading toward Vadapalani from Madley Road willhaveto go via Rangarajapuram Flyover, Chakrapani Street, Five Light Junction, take a right to Viswanathapuram Main Road and then a left to Arcot Road to reach their destination.
