Chief Minister’s Female Child protection system functions to improve the education level of the female children. This system takes care even the orphaned female children by admitting the in the children’s homes.

1. Sathya Ammaiyar memorial Government Children Home
Unsupported or orphaned children or children with only one parent or children of physically affected and helpless parents or disabled parents can be benefited in this scheme.
Free Food, Shelter, Education, uniforms, free bocks & notebooks, medical assistance, free footwear and bedding will be given.
Qualifications - No specific educational qualifications. Annual income should not exceed Rs. 24,000/-. The female child will be allowed to stay and study from the age of 5 years up to 18 tears. Male child is permitted to stay and study till 5th Standard.
Female children without both parents will be allowed to study up to higher education until the age of 21.
When to apply? - Before the start of the academic year.

2. Chief Minister’s female Child Welfare Scheme
This scheme is intended for the female children from the poor families. As per this scheme, the assistance fund would be added and compounded for 20 years and this amount will be given to the female child.
Plan 1 - Only one female child: if there is only one female child in the family, Rs. 22,000/- is deposited under the child’s name in the Basic facilities Betterment Department. Currently, this amount has been raised to raised to Rs. 50,000/- for the female child born on or after 1st August, 2011
Plan 2 - Only
2 female children à If there are only 2 female children in the family, Rs.
15,200/- is deposited under the name of each female child for 20 years. Again,
this amount has been raised recently to Rs. 25,000/- for female children born
on or after 1st August, 2011.
Qualifications - Yearly income should be below Rs. 50,000/-. For plan 1. Yearly income should not exceed Rs. 24,000/- for plan 2.
Conditions - One of the parents should have undergone vasectomy or tubectomy before the age of 35 years. There should be only 1 or 2 female children in the family. There should be no male child in the family. Also, no male child can be adopted later. The parents applying should be residents of Tamil Nadu for the last 10 years. This scheme has also been extended to Sri Lankan Refugees camp people.
Time details for application - If there is only one female child after 1st April, 2005, application should be made within 3 years after the birth of the child. If there are 2 female children, application should be made within 3 years after the birth of the second female child.

Income proof
Certificate confirming that there are no male children (Social welfare offices or District Collector’s offices)
Place of birth certificate (the parents should provide proof that they have been Tamil Nadu residents for the last 10 years as obtained from the collector’s office)
Official to approach - District Social Welfare officers, Development officers (Social Welfare), or Women’s welfare officer.
Tips
Rs. 1,800 will be paid per month from the 6th year of the receipt of the deposit.
Only if the candidate has written 10th standard exams, the matured deposit will be given to the concerned female child. Otherwise, the amount along with interest will be deposited in the government account.
