Facilities to correct answer-sheets on-line are expected to be available in the next academic year. Hence, correction would be completed earlier and thus, CBSE +2 results would be released earlier next year, as per the CBSE Chennai Region official, Mr. Sudarsanrao.
CBS$E +2 results were released on Monday (26th May) for Chennai & Thiruvananthapuram regions. 46,000 students wrote the exams in Chennai region. The success rate was 91.63%. 10.775 students from Tamil Nadu wrote the exams. 10,434 students passed for a success rate of 97%.
+2 results for ICS & State Board syllabus have already been announced. Only CBSE +2 results got delayed.
As a number of days had already passed after the distribution of applications for medical & engineering courses, the students of CBSE & their parents became anxious on the delay.
In the above scenario, when the CBSE Chennai region, Mr. Sudasanrao was enquired about the possibilities of release of CBSE +2 results, he informed:
CBSE +2 results were released on the same day as per last year. This year, the answer sheets for the 10th Standard were scanned and sent to the correction centres. The teachers carried out the corrections on computers. This resulted in less mistakes and also faster correction process.
For the next academic year (2014-15), this facility would be extended to the correction process of +2 as well. With the implementation of this facility, the correction process will be faster with less mistakes. Hence, there are better chances for CBSE +2 results to be released earlier in the next academic year. However, the final decision has to be taken by CBSE Headquarters at New Delhi.
System for revaluation
For the first time, the system for revaluation is being introduced in the CBSE +2 correction process. Until now, only the facility for re-totalling of answer-sheets was available.
The details about application for revaluation would be released on the internet. The revaluation work would be completed within 1 month.
Date of issue of mark certificates
The mark sheets of CBSE +2 exams will be distributed within the next 2 weeks. The exact date is yet to be decided. However, the students can apply for higher courses with the available mark details.
