Madurai Kamaraj University delays reopening

The reopening of classes for second-year students in Madurai Kamaraj University has been postponed to July 9.
The students and faculty members are confused over the development at a time when the university is functioning without a VC, as the Madurai bench of the Madras HC has quashed the appointment of Kalayani Mathivanan to the post. Many students who had already left their homes complained that they`re now left in the lurch. A university representative said that decision was taken to prevent protests on the campus.
