A depression has formed over the North Andaman Sea and neighbourhood. It moved West-North-westwards. Now, it has intensified into a cyclonic storm "Hud Hud".
Today (8th October), it lay centred at 0300 UTC over North Andaman sea and adjoining Southeast Bay near Lat 12.3 degree North and long 92.9 degree East close to Long Islands.
It may further intensify into a severe cyclonic storm during the next 24 hours, subsequently into a very severe cyclonic storm and cross Coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining Odisha Coast between Vizag and Gopalpur by noon of 12th October 2014.
Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala and at many places over Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep and at a few places over Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
