Holiday on Christmas (25th December) for all schools: Confirmed by Minister!

The central minister for Human resources and Welfare, Ms. Smrti Irani, informed that all schools will have holiday on Christmas, 25th December, as usual.
There was an information doing the rounds that 25th December may be celebrated as Good Governance Day
commemorating the birthdays of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Hindu Maha Sabha President Madan Mohan Malaviya and a circular was sent from the Department of Human Resources & Development to all Navodaya schools to cancel the holiday for Christmas on 25th December.
Ms. Smriti Irani denied this and informed that the day will be observed as Good Coordination Day and the essay-writing competition announced through internet will be conducted.
