Local holiday for Onam in Chennai

It will be a local holiday for Chennai district on August 28 on account of Onam festival, Collector E Sundaravalli announced on Thursday.
However, the district treasury and sub-treasury offices in the district will function with drafted staff for the convenience of the public.
In lieu of the local holiday, September 19 will be a working day for government offices and educational institutions.
