The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of rain with thunder in Tamil Nadu due to a recently formed thermal convection.
The centre officials explained that it has been raining in many places throughout Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in the last few days due to the onset of southwest monsoon. It has rained quite heavily in a few places.
A recently formed cyclonic effect in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the Bay of Bengal in the Andhra coastal area adjacent to Odisha coast has stabilised. Because of this, a thermal convection is formed and there are prospects of rain with thunder in a few places in the next 24 hours in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Chennai Metro will remain cloudy. The maximum temperature will be 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 28 Degrees Celsius.
