Half yearly exams starts from tomorrow (7th Dec)

The half-yearly examinations for all the government and government-aided schools and the private schools will commence on 7th December.
The activity of setting up a common question paper for the classes in all schools also set to commence on 7th December.
For the 10th Standard, +1, and +2 classes, the examinations start on 7th December and end on 23rd December. The examinations for these 3 classes in all schools will be through a common question paper. The task of setting up a common question papers starts in Chennai.
Though the subject of computer science was to be introduced from 1st Standard to 12th Standard and the syllabus was prepared accordingly, the teaching/classes could not be started as computer systems are yet to be provided in the classes.
The question papers for the half-yearly examinations for classes from 1st to 9th Standard is being prepared by the district education Officers. The exams will be over by 23rd December. Christmas Holidays will be announced after that.
After a period of extremely stormy weather and heavy rains, the educational departmental circles expect the examinations will be conducted smoothly as planned.
