This NFW NGO does superbly in delivering foods to many in city of Chennai

Food is very important for all of us to survive. Sometimes we find it very difficult to get this food. An NGO in Chennai has been doing tremendously in delivering foods to many people who are in need of food.
This NGO named’ No Food Waste’ or NFW was first launched in the year 2014 in the city of Coimbatore and it was in the year 2015 this NGO came into existence in Chennai. It was later closed down. In this February 2018 this NGO once again started to make impact on the society with its superb work of providing food to as many as 3000 people in Chennai. It must be noted that the corporation of Chennai played huge role and it provided great support to this NFW in providing foods to many in Chennai.
It is superb to mention that NFW food collection centre began functioning out of a corporation centre in Zone 10. Many underprivileged plus homeless people belonging to places like Nungambakkam, Saidapet and T. Nagar were given food. Food safety department has also done its bit by donating two vans so that the food could be given to many people in Chennai city. The volunteers belonging to this NFW NGO are doing magnificently in connecting the food donors with the people who are deprived of food. There are many hunger spots in Chennai where the food is provided to many people.
Mr. Arun Kumar co-ordinator of Chennai operations spoke about how by means of NFW website and app anyone could help locate a hunger spot. He also explained about how after getting the pick-up request, a route for the driver is mapped. He further threw light on the three full time volunteers who drive the van and deliver food at the shelters and to those who are homeless plus other people at hunger spots etc. This co-ordinator hinted that many requests are received from places in north Chennai plus from Vadapalani etc. Information about the nearest place mapped as hunger spot is done for the pick- up requests from places beyond the reach.
The good news is soon we might see this NGO making its presence felt in other zones in Chennai city and for this purpose the group is in discussion with the civic body. In cities such as Coimbatore and Salem food and beverage ATMs have been launched by this NFW NGO. It is now revealed that Chennai too would have these ATMs in the future.
