The results of the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination), for the admission to the 12000 seats for B. Tech. Courses in the countrys leading and reputed technology institutions-Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), located at various cities in the country.
There are 23 IITs, 31 NITs, and 31 IIITs functioning under the central government. Over 25000 admissions for the graduate courses in Engineering and Technology are made every year.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), which is mandatory for admission in IITs and other institutions above, was conducted in April and the results were announced in May. Out of the candidates who wrote JEE, 2.24 Lakhs candidates were successful and qualified to write the JEE (Advanced) for admission in the IITs.
The results of this JEE (Advanced) are set to be announced today afternoon (Sunday, 10th June). The successful candidates in JEE (advanced) would be eligible for admission based on the merit/rank list in the 12000 seats available in 23 IITS in the country through online counselling.
