It will soon be possible to call others and receive calls even without a SIM card on Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, as they are launching Wings service starting from 25th July. With this, using next generation technology of Voice of Internet Protocol, BSNL would facilitate internet telephony.
In a press conference that was held on Thursday, the Chief General Manager of BSNL, R. Marshal Antony Leo said Wings is a mobile telephony voice service based on app. Using this, the BSNL users will be able to make and receive phone calls even without a SIM card. This can be done via mobile phones or laptop.
For this, Wings makes use of Packet Switching Technology, eliminating the need for SIM card. For this, the customer needs to get Wings mobile app and have an active Wi-Fi connectivity. This can be done on any computer or laptop or mobile devices. For this, the customers need to bear with Rs 1099 as yearly subscription. Activation is also a very easy process. You will be given with a 10-digit number. Once you provide this number, you will get a 16-digit PIN number via mail for self-activation.
