The state government of Tamil Nadu has issued a new order containing the new details, procedure, rules, and regulations for cases where the state government employee is interested in changing the Date of Birth.

The Chief Secretary of the Tamil Nadu state government, Girija Vaidyanathan, has sent letters to all secretaries of the departments of the state government and other important higher officials. The details:

The Chennai High Court had made some relevant observations regarding the change of date of birth of a government employee in an enquiry conducted last July.

It mentions that in case any government employee applies for changing the date of birth, the basic criterion to be followed is to confirm whether the employee had completed 15 years of age when appearing for the 10th Standard Public Examinations.

In case the applicant is found not meeting the above requirement of having completed 15 years of age, the appointment order may be cancelled and the employee can be sent off service.

It is observed that such stringent measures only will reduce the number of applications received regarding the change of date of birth.

So, in case any government employee applies for the change of date of birth, the employee must have completed 15 years of age considering up to the calendar year of 1977. For those applicants who wrote the 10th Standard Public Examinations after the year 1977, it must be checked whether the applicant had completed 14 years of age while appearing for the 10th Standard Public Examination.
