Prospects of rain for 2 days

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of 2 days of persistent rains in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry due to the phenomenon of thermal convection.

The director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre, S, Balachandran, explained that with the 1st 2 months of the southwest monsoon season being completed, there has been the usual average rainfall expected recorded in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

There is a cyclonic depression formed in the upper layers of the atmosphere. Because of this or because of the phenomenon of thermal convection, there are prospects of rain in the next 2 days in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

In the Chennai Metro City and suburban areas, there are prospects of mild to medium rain in the evening or the night sessions in a few places.
