The oil corporations have announced that the price of the subsidised LPG cooking gas cylinder is up by Rs. 1.49.

This increase in price is attributed to the depreciation of Indian Rupee against US $, the increase in the price of crude oil in the international market, etc. This will be effective from midnight today (Saturday, 1st September).

As per the above reasons, Indian Oil Corporation has announced that the price of the subsidised LPG cooking gas cylinder of 14.2 kg is increased from Rs. 498.02 to Rs. 499.51 in Delhi.

The price increase has been implemented with the consideration of GST and the price of the non-subsidised LPG cooking gas cylinder. As per the reasons above, the price of the non-subsidised LPG cooking gas cylinder will also be up.

Further, the subsidy amount which is credited to the consumers’ bank savings accounts is being increased from Rs. 291.48 to Rs. 320.49.
