There are prospects of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in the next few days.
The Chennai Meteorological Centre Officials explained regarding this: Over the last few days, the intensity of heat has been rising in several cities in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. This higher heat intensity will cause the phenomenon of thermal convection. Due to the thermal convection, there are prospects of heavy rains in 1 or 2 places on 10th and 11th September.
It has been oppressively hot over the last few days in Chennai and its suburbs. The sky will remain generally cloudy for the next few days. There are prospects for rain with thunder in a few places in the evening or the night sessions.
