The most widely used messaging platforms with 200 million users, the WhatsApp now introduces the new features for the current year that can be gained by the users through updating the application.
The app has new features such as Swipe to Reply, Dark mode, message forwarding and more to be launched with the new update of the instant messaging platform. These are the features that are in the testing phase in beta users and soon will be rolled for the regular users.
Swipe to reply option enables the user the instantly reply for a message with just a swipe gesture on the screen from their finger. This feature is already accessible for iOS users and will be soon introduced for all the Android smartphones said the sources of WhatsApp. Using this new feature users need not hold the message box to get the reply button. If the swipe done right through the message the application will pop up reply option as per the latest development of the application.
Dark mode option is set to launch for the users to decrease the light intensity of the app in dim lights or night time. It will reduce the stress of the eyes by reducing the blue light emission enabling eyes-friendly usage of the app. This update will appear for both the iOS and Android users but the official confirmation of the feature is not announced by WhatsApp.
There is another feature that tends to give more power for the administrators managing the individual groups in the WhatsApp platform. With this new feature the admins can directly decide who can send messages in the group, a kind of special privilege for the influence of messaging and sharing in the group platforms.
The group feature doesn’t stop the individual Users access but reduces the participation decided by the admins. With the send messages option the admins can opt either the selection of ‘all participants’ or ‘only admins’ for the participation in the group deciding the accessibility depended on the group’s motto or purpose. This new feature has already been made available in both Android and iOS devices.
Last month Google confirmed the new update of WhatsApp users backing up their data from chats to Google Drive. The new update without any restrictions in the form of drive storage limit will set to go from November 12, 2018 as per the announcement of Google Corporation.
