Prospects of Northeast Monsoon rainy season to commence on 8th October

The director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre, S. Balachandran, has informed that there are prospects of the Northeast monsoon rainy season to start from 8th October.
In a session with the press reporters, he explained that there are strong prospects of the northeast monsoon rainy season to commence on 8th October. This year, the northeast monsoon season is set to start a little earlier than usual.
There are prospects of a low-pressure zone to be formed on 8th October. The low-pressure zone would be formed over the southeast Arabian Sea and is likely to transform into a cyclonic format and then drift towards Oman.
Because of this, there are prospects of medium rain in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on 8th October, There are prospects of medium to very heavy rain in a few places.
There is no Red Alert warning, During the heavy rain, the wind speed will be higher.
The fishermen should not venture into the sea in the Kachatheevu and central Arabian Sea areas from today (Friday, 5th October) to 8th October.
