The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that the cyclone Titli, presently located at Disa, will intensify further and will cross the coast near Odisha by tomorrow (Thursday, 11th October).
In this regard, the director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre, Balachandran, explained that the cyclone Titli, presently situated over the central Bay of Bengal, has father strengthened and intensified into a severe cyclone and is presently located at the southwest of at 320 km distance from Gopalpur of Odisha. The cyclone is expected to intensify further and drift towards northwest direction and will cross the coast at the location in the North Andhra coast between Gopalpur and Kalingappattinam tomorrow (Thursday, 11th October).
The other severe cyclone Luban has stabilized presently over the Oman coast around 610 km away southeast. This may drift towards the northwest direction. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea over the central west and north regions of the Bay of Bengal until 11th October.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea in the central west Arabian Sea until 14th October. There are prospects of mild rain in the next 2 days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
