The day before Diwali announced as public holiday

The latest Government order issued by the public department noted the day before Deepavali, November 5, 2018 as public holiday. Government employees, students and teachers are enthralled by this decision of holiday.
The order from the government also mentioned that the public bodies can make the second Saturday, November 10, as a working day in order to compensate the work. However the holiday was not enlisted under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. So district collectors have been instructed to ensure the treasury department in all the districts to attend the office with minimum staff. This measure is taken to meet any kind of urgent office requirements on the announced public holiday.
The main reason for the public holiday on the day before Diwali is to facilitate the travel management of people during the festival. The inter-state and national travel will be very common before the day of Diwali celebration and so the holiday decision will pave way for general public to plan their travel before the festival day.
