The Chennai Meteorological Centre explained in this regard that as per the situation yesterday (28th November) morning, there was no rain throughout the state for the last 24 hours. However, there are prospects of heavy rain in the southern coastal districts of Tamil Nadu.

As a low-intensity cyclonic format has developed over the upper layers of the atmosphere and also the formation of a low-pressure zone, there are prospects of sudden rains.

There are stronger prospects of heavy rains in the districts of Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, and Thoothukudi.
