Time restrictions for property registrations

The Department of registration has ordered that the applications submitted after 3.30 PM for registration must not be received/entertained.
Lots of modifications are being carried out in the plan to completely change over the registration process to ‘online’ mode. The registration system is being taken up as per the serial numbers of the token issued to the applicants.
In registrar office where generally a higher number of registrations are processed, the applicants who could not be present when called as per serial order of the token issued, they come after 3.30 PM. This prevents the officials from completing the other tasks.
So, in order to reduce the work burden of the registrar office staff/officers, it has been emphasized that the applications received after 3.30 PM must not be received.
As per the authority accorded in the Registration Act, the registrars can take their own action.
This procedure comes into effect from 2nd January.
