Low-pressure zone prevails, prospects of 2 days mild rain in Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that a dry climate will persist for the next 2 days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. As a low-pressure zone prevails over the Sri Lanka ocean zone, there are prospects of mild rain in a few places on 25th and 26th January.

In a notification, it has mentioned: ‘Dry climate will persist for the next 2 days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. As a low-pressure zone persists over the Indian Ocean section near Sri Lanka, there are prospects of mild rain on 25th January in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Dry climate will persist in the interior Tamil Nadu. There are prospects of mild rains on 26th January as well in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Heavy snowfall is expected to persist in the Nilgiri mountain range areas in the next 2 nights.

The Chennai Metro City and its suburbs will remain partly cloudy. Foggy conditions will prevail in the early mornings.’
