On 1st March 2019 that is yesterday, plus 2 board examinations began in the state of Tamil Nadu is well known. The latest news is the language paper was found to be easy and the students were able to complete the paper within the allotted time in the new pattern.
Previously each subject was of 200 marks and the total mark was 1200. From this year, the state government changed this and revised the total marks for plus 2 from 1200 to 600 now and marks for the subject were changed from 200 to 100 now.
There were few complaints from the students about the one and two marks sections and according to some students the questions were twisted. It must be noted that the students belonging to Chennai city schools were happy that the language papers have been reduced from two to one now.
Teachers pointed out that the questions were on the expected lines and getting above 90 would be difficult because of few questions in one and 2 mark sections. An examination centre in Government Higher Secondary School in Thoraipakkam was inspected by the school education minister, Mr. Sengottaiyan and secretary, Mr. Pradeep Yadav. As per the officials belonging to the school education department it is clear that the first examination took place smoothly due to elaborate preparations.
The important information is over 8 lakhs students wrote plus-2 examinations at 2844 examination centres in TamilNadu and Puducherry. It must be mentioned here that only 4 percent of the teachers involved in the exam works were from private schools and this was as per the restrictions from Directorate of Government Examinations or DGE. Till 19th of March the plus-2 examinations would take place in TN is known. The amazing piece of information is this is the first batch of students to write 3 consecutive board examinations in 3 years of time. Since the students have been writing the board examinations for 3 years now, the tension and fear were not present in the students. This was confirmed by a student who said she was very confident and not stressed at all.
